The 26th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Spine Society of Australia was held in Canberra from 10th to 12th April 2015.

Hon. Sussan Ley MP addressed the members on The Future of Funding in Australia and accepted questions from SSA members. Questions raised from the floor included a brief discussion regarding the forthcoming SSA Outcomes Registry. SSA is optimistic that we'll maintain a healthy dialogue with the Australian Minister for Health as the the Registry rolls out.
Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin attended the Conference Dinner in ANZAC Hall at the Australian War Memorial as Honoured guest. On the eve of 100th Anniversay of ANZAC Day, his after dinner address was unforgettable. He honoured the sacrifice of Australian men and women in far away locations focusing on the masive loss of lives during WW1 for young Australia . From a population of fewer than five million, 416,809 men enlisted, of which over 60,000 were killed and 156,000 wounded, gassed, or taken prisoner. A further 60,000 died within 10 years of returning from Europe.
